Charitable Foundation "Anastasia"
Is Asking for your help

Charity Organization "Anastasia" ("Nastenka") is raising money to help children suffering from Cancer and Biliary Atresia. In recent years, medical doctors and scientists have made significant progress to combat diseases that once were considered incurable.

Unfortunately, in many countries, including the countries of Eastern Europe, people cannot afford expensive medical treatment. In Russia, where average salary is $200 a month, bone marrow transplantation is performed 50-times less than the number of cases when it is needed. In most cases, it deprives children of their chance to live, and a child's life is sacred.

Currently, we ask you to kindly help us save the life of a little boy, Valery Morozov, born in Noginsk, Russia on April 21, 2005. Valery is ill with biliary atresia, a life threatening disease causing progressive damage of the liver.

Cholangitis (liver infection) does not give the opportunity to the baby to grow up and develop normally. His liver continues to fail. The only way to save Valery's life is a liver transplantation, which could be successfully done at Cliniques Sait-Luc in Belgium as Russia does not perform such procedures. The cost of the surgery is € 85,000 or  approximately $117,080. So far, the family raised $84,011, and still needs approximately $ 33,069. Recently, Valery's health has started to deteriorate rapidly. He is suffering from frequent attacks of cholangitis accompanied by fever and jaundice. Without the liver transplant, he will die. Everyday makes the need to have surgery more urgent.
